Training sessions and seminar within Erasmus+ DocHub Structural project (23-24.01.18, Kyiv)
On 23-24 January 2018 seminar and training on study programmes development and preparation of their descriptions were held in Institute of higher education, NAESU. 40 participants attended the meeting. The events took place within the framework of EU Erasmus+ Programme DocHub project “Structuring Cooperation in Doctoral Research, Transferrable Skills Training, and Academic Writing instruction in Ukraine’s regions” implementation.
Seminar and training were organized for Ukrainian HEIs project teams – partners and representatives of NAESU research institutes with the aim of introduce the experience of third cycle educational programmes development from the EU project partners: Vilnius University (Lithuania), Limerick Institute of Technology (Ireland), University of Tampere (Finland), Lumiere University Lyon-2 (France).
Svitlana KALASHNIKOVA (HERE team member; Head, Institute of Higher Education, NAES of Ukraine) held a training on introducing innovative approaches to the development of third cycle study programmes in HE.
During the seminar, participants took part in the discussion on projects’ study programmes: Academic Writing, Transferrable Skills, Educational Policy, Informational Technologies, Political Sciences, Chemistry/Biochemistry, Finance, which were prepared and presented by interinstitutional working groups within the DocHub project.
Additionally:
Erasmus+ project “Structuring Cooperation in Doctoral Research, Transferrable Skills Training, and Academic Writing instruction in Ukraine’s regions” is aimed to: stimulate further reforming and improvement changes of third cycle study programmes in HE in accordance with the Bologna Process; development and implementation of legislative changes and normative documents of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine; relevant procedures and regulations for postgraduate students at university level; formation of researchers critical mass (integrating the potential of research institutes and universities) to ensure the preparation of PhD applicants.
