12 new projects for Ukrainian Youth under Erasmus+ Programme

CBY 2019 1Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission announced the selection results of the 2019 Call for Proposals under Erasmus+ Programme for Capacity Building in the field of Youth. 56 projects were selected for funding including 12 projects with involvement of Ukrainian partners. Higher education institution – Ukrainian Catholic University and 10 Ukrainian NGOs are among the winners, 4 out of them are project coordinators.

The new projects are focused on youth competences development, youth policy involvement, strengthening capacities of young leaders and youth organisations, and increasing opportunities for youth with disabilities etc. Ukrainian organisations will implement their projects in partnership with teams from 21 Programme Countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Estonia, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Northern Macedonia, Romania, Slovakia, Turkey, Hungary, Croatia, Czech Republic and 5 Eastern Partnership countries: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Belarus, Republic of Moldova and Armenia. EU allocation for those projects amounts to 1 400 000 €.

Background information:
The Capacity Building of Youth Action Window for Eastern Partnership Countries is a part of the EU Erasmus+ programme of support activities in the fields of Education, Training, Youth and Sport. Youth Capacity-building projects aim at fostering cooperation and exchanges between youth from different regions of the world. Ukraine has been participating in this activity since 2017. During 2017 and 2018 Calls, 47 projects with participation of 35 Ukrainian organizations (including 18 acting as coordinators) were selected for funding in partnerships with European and Eastern Partnership countries with the total EU-funding of 4 736 042 €.
