Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University — is one of the oldest and biggest medical universities in Ukraine. It is one of the leading medical universities of the IV level of accreditation. LNMU begins from the Medical Faculty of Lviv University, which was opened on November 16, 1784, according to the privilege of the Austrian emperor Josef II. In 2009 University celebrated its 225 anniversary.

Danylo Halytsky LNMU is one of the highest rated medical Universities in Ukraine. LNMU is among the “Top-20 Universities of Ukraine” and according to Scopus 2017 it has 2nd place among Medical Universities of Ukraine. LNMU has received several rewards and prizes of State Educational Exhibitions (Golden Medal of International Exhibition “Modern Educational Institutes”, the “Leader of National System of Rating Scoring of Higher Educational Institutes”).

Today Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University combines 6 faculties, medical college, 78 departments (including 48 clinical departments), 14 academic buildings, 41 affiliated hospitals, University dental medical centre for more than 2000 attendances during shift, teaching drugstore, botanical garden, Laboratory of industrial toxicology, Institute of clinical pathology, scientific library, 8 student hostels, sanatorium, student cafes and canteens, sports and health recovery camp "Medyk".

About 17 000 persons are studying at the University annually, of which 5632 are students, including 1,000 foreigners, 25 students of preparatory courses, about 1,660 residents (internship program), 41 fellows (mastership program), 64 PhD fellows, 64 clinical ordinators, about 10,000 students of Postgraduate education, and 312 students of the Medical College.

Information about the intended project:

We are in search of European partners to establish cooperation and to apply for different actions of the Erasmus + Programme, including “KA 1 Learning Mobility” to organize academic exchange for credit mobility and joint degrees; “KA 2 Capacity Building for Higher Education, Knowledge Alliances and Strategic Partnerships” with projects related to higher education and research issues.
