Short description:
The aim of the WaterH is to develop improved learning and teaching tools, methodologies and pedagogical approaches using best practices. As a result, there will be developed skills in multiple use of resources and long-term planning for multiple benefits in such a way that project partners will have harmonised teaching and pedagogical approaches in water related graduate education. Objectives of WaterH is to develop learning and teaching tools, methodologies and pedagogical approaches and e-learing modules on 6 courses related to water; upgrade laboratories with lab courses and teaching tools; train staff to think creating better opportunities for graduates and opportunities for contract research and to to think multi-purpose utilization of resources; strengthen entrepreneurship skills; secure quality assurance of educational programs. New courses developed based on best practices and European principles will enable harmonized educational and teaching methods as well as credit transfers. The entrepreneurial thinking at all levels and directions will be promoted. More modern and flexible teaching approaches will also increase recruitment to the partner universities. A large number of student fellowships (over 110 student mobility fellowships) and physical team-working opportunities for 22 staff members during 11 workshops and 36 fellowships will provide a broad coverage of knowledge sharing. This will generate strengthening of institutions through short-term visits rather than individuals with longer term fellowships. The WaterH is also about creating attitude changes and confidence building in thinking long-term utilising resources multi-purposely. It also has an ambition to support the target Partner Country universities on smart ways to secure financial sustainability of initiated activities while achieving the other traditional targets. Another activity that the project will focus on is introducing entrepreneurship and innovation to partner universities.
