Webinar “Implementation Challenges of current Erasmus+: Capacity Building of Higher Education and other Cooperation Projects during the War in Ukraine” (02.06.2022, online)

On 2 June 2022, the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine held  webinar “Implementation Challenges of current Erasmus+: Capacity Building of Higher Education and other Cooperation Projects during the War in Ukraine”. About 80 representatives of current Erasmus+ CBHE and other cooperation projects’ teams, as well as Erasmus+ coordinators and representatives of international cooperation departments joined the webinar.

The webinar consisted of two parts, during which project representatives from Ukrainian institutions together with European coordinators learned about the specifics of project implementation and got the opportunity to exchange experience in managing projects during martial law. Moreover, project teamd and coordinators met EACEA project officers who emphasized further steps of project implementation, taking into account war in the country, current risks and the rules of the Program.

During the event, participants discussed Ukraine’s international obligations and flexibility in the use of funds and  adaptation to needs. In addition, participants joined important discussion ofncommon challenges and ways to solve them, in particular: life safety; losses among project teams, students, and staff of HEIs; use of project funds and equipment purchase.
