Ukrainian universities won over 2 400 new International Mobility projects within EU’s Erasmus+ Programme
Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture of the European Commission provided information about the winners of Erasmus+ projects 2023 within International Credit Mobility Action. Among 35 225 projects selected for funding, 2 425 mobility projects are in cooperation with Ukrainian organisations which includes: 1 140 mobilities for Ukrainian staff to EU and 273 mobilities from EU, 2 423 mobilities for Ukrainian students to EU and 89 – from EU.
As a result of this call, Ukraine has the biggest number of mobility projects among 144 Partner Countries all over the world.
International Credit Mobility Action provides opportunity for higher education institutions to send students and staff abroad (in other Programme countries or other Partner countries) to study, teach, or train at participating institutions, as well as to participate in a traineeship and to host them in Ukraine.
238 partners from Ukraine represent higher education institutions, research institutions, private organisations and NGOs from different regions of Ukraine, including the internally displaced ones.
550 partners from 30 countries are among the mobility project teams representing, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Lativa, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, North Macedonia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey.
In 2021-2022, there were 4 248 mobilities recommended for funding: 3 252 – incoming to EU from Ukraine; 996 – outgoing from EU to Ukraine. Since 2014, 17 006 mobilities of students and staff involving 227 Ukrainian universities, 3 VET institutions and 58 other organisations were implemented within 1 889 projects with European partners.
