VI strategic session “Ukrainian Studies in Slavic Studies: Visualisation” (09.11.2023, online)

On November 9, 2023, the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine team joined the VI strategic session “Ukrainian Studies in Slavic Studies: Visualisation” in the area of “The role of the diaspora in the dissemination of Ukrainian studies in the world”. The event was organised jointly by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Office of Scientist Support, the Ukrainian State Center for International Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and the Presidential Foundation for Support of Education, Science and Sports.

The session was attended by Mychailo WYNNYCKYJ, Deputy Minister of Education and Science, responsible for higher education, Member of the Erasmus+ HERE team, who presented a retrospective overview of migration waves from Ukraine, the importance and role of the Ukrainian diaspora in the development of Ukrainian studies.

Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, welcomed the participants and thanked them for a very necessary initiative and reminded them of the EU Erasmus+ Programme calls, in particular KA220 Cooperation partnership, which can become an effective tool for cooperation and dissemination of Ukrainian Studies.
