On 1 February 2024, the National Erasmus+ office – Ukraine team participated in a seminar-training for heads of departments, academic, and teaching staff of NUBiP of Ukraine, held at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine and online.
On the first day (of the three planned), the seminar was attended by 151 participants in the hall, with over 200 online participants.
The aim of the seminar-training was to improve the level of use of modern information technologies by department heads, department heads, academic and teaching staff of the university during distance and blended learning in the context of the pandemic and to improve the quality of the educational process. This seminar provides an opportunity to expand knowledge, exchange experiences, view the organisation of work differently, and consequently improve its quality.
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, coordinator of the National Erasmus+ office – Ukraine, gave a presentation on “Developing the Potential of Ukrainian Education, Youth, and Sports within the Cross-Cutting Priorities of the EU Erasmus+ Programme”. The speaker introduced the participants to the opportunities of the Erasmus+ Programme for Ukraine and noted that the European Commission has been supporting Ukraine within the Erasmus+ Programme since the first days of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine by implementing special measures for Ukraine, adopting a flexible approach to project implementation, digital solutions, open access to educational resources and courses, and professional networks. Moreover, the European Commission has allocated additional budget for Cooperation Partnerships focusing on supporting Ukraine and has opened access to new calls for Ukrainian organisations as associated project partners. Thus, the need for complementarity between the different calls of the Erasmus+ Programme has increased.
