Speech at the annual national conference ‘eTwinning – Ukraine: Results of 2024 and Prospects and Tasks of 2025’ (18.01.2025, Kyiv)
On 18 January 2025, the team of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine delivered a speech at the annual national conference ‘eTwinning – Ukraine: Results of 2024 and Prospects and Tasks of 2025’, organised by the National eTwinning Support Office – Ukraine and held at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
The event gathered around 70 participants, including eTwinning Programme Ambassadors, teachers awarded the National Quality Label 2024 for successfully implemented eTwinning projects, educators new to eTwinning from higher education institutions training future teachers, as well as guests and partners of the eTwinning Programme. A distinctive feature of the conference was the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the eTwinning Programme.
Andrii GOZHYK, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of international cooperation among educational institutions to improve the quality of education. Oleksandra HUSAK, Director General of the Directorate for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, highlighted the achievements of Ukrainian eTwinners, especially valuable during wartime, and assured them of continued support from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the synergy between the eTwinning Programme and Erasmus+ initiatives.
With an inspiring address titled “The Education of Wonders”, Andriy ZELINSKY, Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Veteran Fund, co-founder of the Ukrainian Leadership Academy, lecturer at the Ukrainian Catholic University, military chaplain of the UGCC, political scientist, and author, addressed the educators.
Svitlana KALASHNIKOVA, Coordinator of the National eTwinning Support Office – Ukraine, summarized the year’s work, outlined the Office’s goals for 2025, and presented the priorities for eTwinners’ activities.The highlight of the conference was the announcement of the National eTwinning Awards 2024 and the recognition of the winning teachers and their student teams.
The event served as a key platform for reviewing the year’s achievements, planning future initiatives, and strengthening the eTwinning community in Ukraine.
