Infosession within the round table ‘European experience of using digital technologies in the economy’ (01.05.2025, online)
On 1 May 2025, the team from the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine took part in the online round table “European Experience in the Use of Digital Technologies in the Economy”. The event was organised within the framework of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module Project 101085727 – EU-DIGITIZATION – ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH “Digitalisation of the economy in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic as a strategic platform for the economic development of the state”.
The event was attended by over 100 participants: researchers, teachers, higher education students, postgraduates, doctoral students, practitioners, representatives of state and local authorities, business, university administrative staff, civil society, the public and all interested parties.
The event aimed to explore theoretical, methodological, and practical aspects of implementing European practices in the field of economic digitalisation and to discuss the specifics of their application in Ukraine during the wartime and post-war periods. Participants included researchers, lecturers, students, PhD candidates, civil servants, local government representatives, business stakeholders, university administrators, and members of civil society.
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, joined the event and delivered an opening speech. She presented the priorities of the Erasmus+ Programme related to digitalisation, highlighting the EU Digital Education Action Plan and the activities of the European Digital Education Hub, encouraging active participation in its events and working groups.
During the discussion, speakers and participants shared insights into modern digital tools used in the economies of EU countries, their potential adaptation in Ukraine, the main challenges of digital transformation, and the key role of education in developing digital competences for future professionals.
The round table served as a platform for scientific exchange, the establishment of new professional contacts, and the preparation of a collective monograph dedicated to the European experience in economic digitalisation.
