4  new projects for Ukrainian sport organisations under EU-funded Erasmus+ Programme

European Education and Culture Executive Agency of European Commission has announced selection results of Erasmus+ Programme Sport Action call 2025. With a total available budget of more than EUR 67 million, 350 proposals have been recommended for funding: 124 Cooperation partnerships, 185 Small-scale partnerships, 26 European sport events, 2 Large scale European sport events and 13 Capacity building in the field of sport.

As for now, among the list of projects and according to the Ukrainian partners already communicated to the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, there are 4 projects with participation of 6 Ukrainian organisations as coordinators and partners in the Capacity Building in the Field of Sport Action:

  • Charity Organisation Shakhtar Social, coordinator of “ECOGAME – Gamified Eco-Learning Framework for Children’s Sports”
  • AllUkrainian Athletic – Sporting Kolos, partner of “ECOGAME – Gamified Eco-Learning Framework for Children’s Sports”
  • National University Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic, partner of “CC4C – Creating Champions for change”
  • “Charitable Fund “UAF Foundation”, coordinator of “ERAFA – Empowering Recovery: Adaptive Football for All”
  • Charity Organisation Shakhtar Social, partner of “ERAFA – Empowering Recovery: Adaptive Football for All”
  • Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture, partner of “ERAFA – Empowering Recovery: Adaptive Football for All”
  • National University of Ukraine on Physical Education and Sport, partner of “Cycle Paths – Social Act plus: Cycling for Inclusion and Wellbeing”

Ukrainian organisations will be able to benefit from the experience of their European partners and enhance their own capacity to boost internationalisation. They will also contribute to engaging communities in sport, physical activity, and volunteering.

EU grants for such projects amount up to EUR 200,000 per project and cover international and local missions – travel and subsistence costs, staff cost, equipment costs and subcontracting as well as costs for dissemination of information, publishing or translation.

This action was open for Ukraine in 2024 and European Commission have funded already 7 projects which are currently implementing by 13 Ukrainian organisations. Since 2021, there are 32 projects in sport filed supported within Erasmus+ under different actions with Ukraine in partnerships.
