Training for School Teams Participating in the EU eTwinning / Erasmus+ Programme on Project Management (14-15.08.2026, Lviv)
On 14–15 August 2026, the National eTwinning Support Office – Ukraine and the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine held the Training for School Teams Participating in the EU eTwinning / Erasmus+ Programme on Project Management. The event brought together more than 50 educators from 18 general secondary education institutions from different regions of Ukraine and aimed to strengthen schools’ capacity for international project activities, cooperation with international partners, and access to grant opportunities.
During the training, participants reviewed the main stages of project activities, identified the strategic priorities, needs, and distinctive features of their schools, prepared PIF (Project Information Form) cards, and formed potential project teams. Particular attention was paid to identifying international partners and funding opportunities, preparing project proposals, planning activities, defining expected results, budgeting, and reporting.
Practical experience in international and project activities was shared by representatives of Dnipro University of Technology and Ukrainian Catholic University. Participants learned about the work of project offices, identifying funding opportunities, cooperation with donors and international partners, and began developing their own databases of potential partners and donors.
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, informed participants about the possibility of mentoring support from the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine during the preparation of grant applications and presented examples of successful grant applications funded under the EU Erasmus+ Programme. On 15 August, Svitlana SHYTIKOVA and Svitlana KALASHNIKOVA, Member of the Erasmus+ Higher Education Reform Experts (HERE team) and Coordinator of the National eTwinning Support Office – Ukraine, presented the EU Erasmus+ Programme actions available to pupils and educators from general secondary education institutions, including Youth Mobility and School Partnership. Participants continued working on their project concepts in line with the requirements and opportunities of these actions, defining project duration and activities, responsible persons, budgets, and completing the required grant application forms.
The training combined theoretical knowledge of project management and international cooperation with practical work on participants’ potential projects. School teams organised their needs, resources, partnerships, and project ideas, which may serve as a basis for further international project activities.
An additional part of the programme was a tour of the Ukrainian Catholic University campus and academic buildings, during which participants learned about the university’s history, facilities and values, as well as its cooperation with general secondary education institutions, including in the field of STEM education.
