3 new projects for Ukrainian sport organisations will be funded under EU’s Erasmus+ Programme

The European Commission and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency have informed about the results of the 2026 Calls for Proposals of Capacity Building in the field of Sport. With a total available budget of more than EUR 2 440 000, 12 proposals among 135 submitted applications have been recommended for funding.

Among the list of projects there are 3 projects with participation of 6 Ukrainian organisations as coordinators and partners to build their capacities for internationalisation of sports:

• Vinnytsia Specialized Children’s and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve in Athletics, coordinator of “SAFE SPORT HUBS – Strengthening Grassroots Sport Organisations through Capacity Building, Safeguarding Systems and Digital Innovation”
• Charity Organisation Shakhtar Social, partner of “SAFE SPORT HUBS – Strengthening Grassroots Sport Organisations through Capacity Building, Safeguarding Systems and Digital Innovation”
• Municipal Office for Physical Culture and Sports of the Odesa City Council, partner of “RISE – Reforming and Innovating Sport Ecosystems”
• Kateryna Biloruska Foundation, partner of “SportsHeal – Promoting mental wellbeing and social inclusion of young people affected by war, through sport”
• Kyiv students Football Association, partner of “SportsHeal – Promoting mental wellbeing and social inclusion of young people affected by war, through sport”
• NGO United by sport, partner of “SportsHeal – Promoting mental wellbeing and social inclusion of young people affected by war, through sport”

Ukrainian organisations will be able to benefit from the experience of their European partners and enhance their own capacity to boost internationalisation. They will also contribute to engaging communities in sport, physical activity, and volunteering.

EU grants for such projects amount up to EUR 200,000 per project and cover international and local missions – travel and subsistence costs, staff cost, equipment costs and subcontracting as well as costs for dissemination of information, publishing or translation.

This action was open for Ukraine in 2024 and European Commission have funded already 12 projects which are currently implementing by 22 Ukrainian organisations.
