ERASMUS+ DAYS for youth of Ukraine: Zoom edition-NORTH (12.04.2021, online)
Within 4 series of events for youth of Ukraine during April, on 14 April 2021 NEO – Ukraine together with ESN-Kyiv organized the next Zoom webinar “ERASMUS+ DAYS for Youth of Ukraine: Zoom edition – North” (for Northern regions of Ukraine). This initiative is supported by the EU Delegation to Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Eurodesk Ukraine, the Erasmus+ Youth Information Center and the European Solidarity Corps, HEIs in different regions, Erasmus+ mobility participants and Erasmus Mundus Alumni.
More than 120 representatives of students and youth, HEIS staff and youth workers joined the event via Zoom.
Maryna POPATENKO, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine welcomed participants with her own success story of participation in Erasmus+ Programme.
Ivanna ATAMANCHUK, NEO -Ukraine Manager, presented new Erasmus+ Program for 2021-2027, as well as open opportunities for Ukrainian HEIs and other organizations. Speaker focused on the features and new principles of the Program: international dimension, inclusiveness, digitalization, and ecology. In addition, Ivanna ATAMANCHUK presented key documents for further successful participation within new Erasmus+ Calls.
Vladyslav TAYANOVSKY, Educational Project Manager, Erasmus Student Network Kyiv, presented ESN and student opportunities. Speaker focused presentation on volunteering opportunities within the ESN and the possibility of creating such a centre in HEIs of Ukraine. Natalia SHEVCHUK, National Coordinator, Eurodesk Ukraine, spoke about the purpose of the organization and the potential participation of youth within European projects and programmes. Participants learned about Eurodesk promo channels to raise awareness about existing international opportunities and encourage them to be active participants in the country’s life. The next to join the event was Kateryna ZHDANOVA, NEO – Ukraine Manager joined the floor with a presentation on individual educational opportunities within Erasmus+: academic mobilities for students to study and practice; exchanges for staff internships, training, teaching, and training; Erasmus Mundus program for fourth-year students and graduates. Anna KOVBASYUK, Coordinator of the Info Center for Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps in Ukraine, spoke about similar individual opportunities, but in the field of youth. The speaker presented youth exchanges and volunteering, providing advice on finding opportunities and participating in competitions.
During the second part of the event, participants got the opportunity to join any Zoom room with several speakers: mobility participant with their success stories, representatives of Ukrainian HEIs IROs (7 HEIs from 6 regions) to present their mobility opportunities for students, or youth opportunities room.
