International Forum “Education, Science, Innovation: Human Capital in the Post-War Revival of Ukraine” (Kyiv, December 11–12, 2025, hybrid format)
On December 11-12, 2025, the International Forum “Education, Science, Innovation: Human Capital in the Post-War Revival of Ukraine” was held, bringing together over 300 participants in the conference hall of the Mykhailo Dragomanov Ukrainian State University. The Chairman of the Ukrainian Peace Council Mykhailo ZGUROVSKY is the initiator of the Forum, which has become a platform for combining the efforts of Ukrainian and international scientists, educators, government representatives, international organizations and civil society to form a strategic vision for the development of human capital as a key resource for the post-war innovative transformation of Ukraine.
The Forum was attended by the Deputy Coordinator – Senior Manager for Analytics, HERE Team Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine Zhanna TALANOVA as one of the key speakers at the Panel 4 “European Vector of the Development of Ukrainian Science and Education”. Also, key speakers were Member of the European Parliament Manuela RIPA, Director General of the Directorate for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Oleksandra HUSAK, and Associate Professor of the Department of International Organizations and Diplomatic Service of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Nataliya RYLACH.
The main organizer of the Panel 4 is Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and the moderators were Volodymyr BUGROV, Rector of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and Ksenia SMYRNOVA, Chair of the Council of Vice-Rectors for International Cooperation of the Union of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine.
During the work of the Panel 4, experts discussed the following topics:
- Main directions of the higher education area development in the European Union: latest trends and priorities.
- Common policies of the European Union in the fields of Education and Science: modern opportunities for Ukraine.
- Harmonization of Ukrainian science and education with European standards.
- Transformational changes in Ukrainian higher education institutions in the context of adaptation to European practices of training personnel for the new economy.
