Information Day of the EU Erasmus+ Programme in Education: Higher Education (10.12.2024, online\offline)
On 10 December 2024, the team of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine organised the “Information Day of the EU Erasmus+ Programme in Education: Higher Education”. The event was organised by the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine in cooperation with the EU Delegation to Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the National eTwinning Support Office, and the Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps Info Centre.
More than 330 participants – vice-rectors for international cooperation and heads of international cooperation departments, persons responsible for Erasmus+ of Ukrainian HEIs from different regions joined the event in online and offline formats.
The InfoDay included two parts:
- Meeting with higher education institutions on the implementation of EU Erasmus+ projects
- Seminar for managers responsible for international cooperation in Ukrainian higher education institutions

Mykhailo WYNNYCKYJ, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Oleksandra HUSAK, Director General of the Directorate for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine welcomed the participants. The welcoming speeches included the recognition of the HERE team experts of the EU Erasmus+ Programme and the NEO – Ukraine team.
During the first part of the event, Mykhailo WYNNYCKYJ in his presentation highlighted the national priorities for participation in the EU Erasmus+ Programme calls for 2025. Serhiy SHKABKO, Head of the Expert Group of the Directorate of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, provided recommendations on the implementation of international technical assistance projects, the beneficiary of which is the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Oleksandra HUSAK presented sectoral recommendations of the European Commission on the implementation of the Roadmap of European Integration in the Spheres of Education and Science for 2024-2027.
During the second part of the event, Svitlana SHYTIKOVA presented a general overview of the opportunities for universities within the EUі Erasmus+ Programme calls for 2025 in the field of education, youth and sport for Ukraine. Zhanna TALANOVA, Manager of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, joined the session and highlighted the issue of institutional capacity for the implementation of Erasmus+ projects.
Participants had the opportunity to join the group discussions on the specifics of implementing various Erasmus+ projects, including ICM, Virtual exchanges, CBHE, Cooperation partnerships and Jean Monnet, and shared experiences and successful cases during martial law in Ukraine.
At the end of the event, participants communicated with speakers, shared experiences, and received answers to their questions.
