Infosession: What’s New in Brussels and in the Erasmus+ Programme (12.02.2026, online)
On 12 February 2026, the team from the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine organised the infosession “What’s New in Brussels and in the Erasmus+ Programme”, dedicated to the latest developments in the EU Erasmus+ Programme, new European Union policy priorities in the fields of education, training, youth and sport, and future opportunities for international cooperation for Ukrainian educational institutions and organisations.
The event brought together representatives of higher education institutions, professional pre-higher and vocational education institutions, research organisations, civil society organisations, and other institutions interested in developing international partnerships and preparing Erasmus+ project proposals.
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, presented the latest updates on the international dimension of the Erasmus+ Programme, the expansion of cooperation opportunities with partner countries, the development of European University Alliances, support for academic mobility, and perspectives for the next programming period. The presentation also covered the priorities of the European Education Area, including quality education, inclusion, the digital and green transitions, skills development, lifelong learning, and international cooperation.
Particular attention was given to the Union of Skills initiative, which focuses on skills development, upskilling and reskilling, talent attraction and retention, as well as to the inclusiveness of the Erasmus+ Programme and the removal of barriers to participation at the individual, institutional, and national levels.
The infosession provided participants with an opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the EU Erasmus+ Programme and discuss their practical application in preparing competitive project proposals, strengthening international partnerships, and implementing European approaches to quality assurance and inclusion in education.
