IV International Workshop “Disciplinary Challenges in the Field of European Integration: Experiences of Post-Socialist Countries” (19-20.07.2023, online/offline)
19-20 July, 2023, IV international workshop “Disciplinary Challenges in the Field of European Integration: Experiences of Post-Socialist Countries” was held in online format on the Google platform as part of the implementation of the project 599469-EPP-1-2018-1-UA-EPJMO-CoE: Jean Monnet Center of Excellence “Western Ukrainian Research Center for European Studies”. The event was organized by the Ivan Franko Lviv National University project team.
The event was attended by 13 participants – representatives of scientific and pedagogical staff and young scientists.
The main task of the event was the discussion of disciplinary challenges for European studies in Ukraine and in the post-socialist space, as well as the experience of implementing projects in the field of European studies in Ukraine.
Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine (EU funded project) Svitlana SHYTIKOVA emphasised the role of disciplinary approaches to solving complex issues of European integration of Ukraine and the need for the formation and networking of Jean Monnet Centers of Excellence to ensure progress in matters of Ukraine’s membership in the EU and high-quality academic support for Ukraine’s accession to the EU in combination with issues of post-war reconstruction of the country.
The manager of the Jean Monnet Actions of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine (EU funded project), Petro KRAINIK, spoke about the programmes and disciplines that receive support within the framework of European studies, and also commented on participation in the Calls for Proposals of the EU Erasmus+ Programme and the importance of well-prepared applications.
