Meeting with team of the Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics and seminar for Rectors Council of Kharkiv region(19.03.2024, Kharkiv)

On 19 March 2024, Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, visited Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the Rector of the University, Volodymyr PONOMARENKO, Professor.

During the meeting, Svitlana SHYTIKOVA discussed the development areas of the Erasmus+ Programme, including its priorities and challenges in the context of war. They also discussed ways to engage students, doctoral candidates, and faculty members in the programme and highlighted the importance of teamwork for the successful implementation of educational projects.

Additionally, the meetings with current projects teams and financial department team was organised to discuss current challenges and the ways of solutions during martial law.

The Rector of the University supported the idea of fostering collaboration between Ukrainian and European universities under the Erasmus+ Programme.

Following this, semianar for the Union of Rectors of Kharkiv Region and current projects teams was organised, where the participants discussed cooperation opportunities with European universities and Ukraine’s representation on the international educational stage. The presentation covered key opportunities and ides for cooperation (presentation file).

The challenges and ways of solutions for the implementation of the projects during martial law were especially highlighted during the seminar by the staff of Kharkiv universities.

More promotion of Kharkiv universities is required for understanding of their needs and cooperation priorities during martial law. The relevant contacts were strengthened and established with newcomers.
