Meeting on the status of foreign students and university staff in Ukraine within the Erasmus+ Programme (10.05.2018, Kyiv)

On May 10, 2018, at the National Diplomatic Academy, a meeting between representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Department for Foreigners and Stateless Persons, Migration Service, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on the status of foreign students and university employees in Ukraine under the Erasmus + Programme was held.

During the event, about 15 participants were involved in the discussion on current issues on: visas for non-EU incomers; amount of Ukrainian visa for incoming students and staff; promotion campaign for Migration Service of Ukraine (facilitate the procedure of crossing the border) etc. As a result of the meeting, NEO-Ukraine team presented common challenges for international partners within Erasmus+ to come to Ukraine for mobility projects and other KA2 projects’ events.

Key recommendations on user-friendly arrival for international guests were provided to the necessary authorities. Useful materials about the Erasmus+ and promo materials were disseminated.
