5 new projects for 9 Ukrainian sport organisations under EU-funded Erasmus+ Programme
European Education and Culture Executive Agency of European Commission has announced selection results of Erasmus+ Programme Sport Action call 2024. With a total available budget of more than EUR 54 million, 302 proposals have been recommended for funding: 100 Cooperation partnerships, 169 Small-scale partnerships, 22 European sport events and 11 Capacity building in the field of sport.
Within CBS 2024 call, out of 75 applications 9 projects proposals were supported for funding. The consortia of selected proposals involve on average 5 participating organisations per proposal. All selected proposals requested an EU grant between EUR 100 000 and EUR 247 000.
Out of 9 selected projects propolasa 5 projects include 3 Ukrainian organisations in the role of coordinators of the Capacity Building in the Field of Sport projects and 6 organisations as partners:
- “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORTS. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE”, coordinator of “TEAM-EU-UA– Development of Team Spirit for the Implementation and Incorporation of EU Values in Ukraine”;
- “SHAKHTAR SOCIAL”, coordinator of “Pace for Health – Interactive football programme for physical development of internally displaced children”;
- All Ukrainaian athleticsporting society «KOLOS», coordinator of “Beyond gender – Breaking stereotypes through sport”, VINNYTSIA SPECIALIZED CHILDREN’S AND YOUTH SPORTS SCHOOL OF THE OLYMPIC RESERVE IN ATHLETICS is a partner of this project;
- Ukrainian federation of school sports, partner of the project “Development of Team Spirit for the Implementation and Incorporation of EU Values in Ukraine”,
- SUMY MAKARENKO STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY, partner of the project “United through adapted basketball”
- Basketball Federation of Ukraine, partner of the project “United through adapted basketball”,
- State institution “All-Ukrainian center for physical health of the population “Sports for all”partner of the project “Romania Moldova ACT!”,
- BORYS GRINCHENKO KYIV METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY, partner of the project “Interactive football programme for physical development of internally displaced children”.
Ukrainian organisations will benefit from the experience of European partners, and develop their capacities for internationalisation, as well as promote participation in sport, physical activity, and voluntary activities.
Selected for funding projects will be implemented jointly with partners from 11 counties: Armenia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland.
EU grants for such projects amount up to EUR 200,000 per project and cover international and local missions – travel and subsistence costs, staff cost, equipment costs and subcontracting as well as costs for dissemination of information, publishing or translation.
