New projects for Ukrainian sport organisations under EU-funded Erasmus+ Programme

European Education and Culture Executive Agency of European Commission has announced selection results of Erasmus+ Programme Sport Action call 2024. With a total available budget of more than EUR 54 million, 302 proposals have been recommended for funding: 100 Cooperation partnerships, 169 Small-scale partnerships, 22 European sport events and 11 Capacity building in the field of sport.

The official announcement on Sport Action results 2024 currently includes information on project coordinators only and more details about the partners will be announced after the grant agreements are signed. We expect more information about the projects with Ukrainian partners at the later stage.

As for now, among the list of projects there are 3 Ukrainian organisations in the role of coordinators of the Capacity Building in the Field of Sport projects:

• “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORTS. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE”, coordinator of “TEAM-EU-UA– Development of Team Spirit for the Implementation and Incorporation of EU Values in Ukraine”;
• “SHAKHTAR SOCIAL”, coordinator of “Pace for Health – Interactive football programme for physical development of internally displaced children”;
• All Ukrainaian athleticsporting society «KOLOS», coordinator of “Beyond gender – Breaking stereotypes through sport”.

Ukrainian organisations will benefit from the experience of European partners, and develop their capacities for internationalisation, as well as promote participation in sport, physical activity, and voluntary activities.

EU grants for such projects amount up to EUR 200,000 per project and cover international and local missions – travel and subsistence costs, staff cost, equipment costs and subcontracting as well as costs for dissemination of information, publishing or translation.
