Participation in the August Conference of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (24.08.2023, Kyiv)
On August 25, 2023, National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine joined the August Conference of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine. Educations sphere representatives from diiferent organisations took part in the event – preschool, school, VET and HEIs.
On the main stage, Minister of Education and Science Oksen LISOVY and Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo FEDOROV talked about what education and science will be like in Ukraine in the future:
- about the safety of children and teachers as a priority;
- about inclusive and friendly spaces of educational institutions with updated content and meanings;
- about the individual at the center of the education system — creative free to become a part of civil society.
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coodinator of NEO – Ukraine, joined the event discussing the future of Ukrainian education, challenges and ways to overcome them, recovery, restart of New Ukrainian School, colleges of the future and digitalization. Speeches were devoted to new challenges and opportunities of New Ukrainian School, artificial intelligence in education, the psycho-emotional health of teachers, as well as the digitalization of education in Ukraine. NEO – Ukriane took an active part in discussions about the recovery of Ukraine and the importance of cooperation within the EUs Erasmus+ Programme.
