Participation in “The Future of Europe = The Future of Erasmus+” (29.04.2025, Brussels, Belgium)

On April 29, 2025, the team from the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine took part in the international event “The Future of Europe = The Future of Erasmus+”, held in Brussels, Belgium, and organised by five ACA member organisations with a presence in Brussels, in cooperation with the ACA Secretariat. The event was held at a key moment ahead of the publication of the European Commission’s proposals for the new Multiannual Financial Framework and the revised Erasmus+ Regulation.

More than 80 participants attended the event, including representatives of EU institutions, national agencies, international organisations, student associations, university networks, and stakeholders from Programme and partner countries.

PROGRAMME

The discussions addressed the strategic challenges and priorities for the future Erasmus+ Programme, building on the findings of the recently published ACA policy paper “The Future of Erasmus+ is the Future of Europe”, and introducing the second policy paper prepared in response to the EU public consultation on cross-border education funding and external action.

Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, joined the event and contributed to the discussions on the future of Erasmus+ Programme. She highlighted the importance of ensuring flexibility and inclusiveness of the Programme for partner countries, particularly Ukraine, strengthening support in times of crisis, fostering synergies with other EU initiatives, and expanding opportunities for human capital development through education as a driver for sustainable peace and European integration.
