Professor Didier CLOUTEAU, President of the T.I.M.E. Association, and Professor Tetiana ZHELIASKOVA, Vice Rector for Education at National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” (KPI), welcomed the participants.

Svіtlana SHITIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, actively participated in the event, emphasising the importance of international cooperation in the fields of engineering and science to support Ukrainian universities amid the ongoing crisis. She presented Ukraine’s stance on the internationalisation of education, stressing the need for the development of digital cooperation formats and the support of academic mobility, even in the context of limited physical mobility.

The event continued with three presentations. The first, focusing on the State of Tecnical Education Ukraine, was presented by Professor Tetiana PRIKHNA, representative of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA). The second presentation, highlighting the university perspective, was delivered by Professor Tetiana ZHELIASKOVA, Vice Rector at KPI. The third presentation, discussing cooperation with Ukrainian universities, was provided by Victor KORDAS from the International Relations Office at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm.

During the event, current issues and challenges in the field of higher engineering education in Ukraine were discussed, especially in the context of war and mobility restrictions. Participants explored ways to support education and research in Ukraine under these challenging circumstances. Topics such as digital learning, remote cooperation, and the importance of models like COIL for developing online education and student skills were also addressed.

The event served as an important platform for exchanging experiences and strengthening cooperation between Ukrainian universities and international educational institutions. T.I.M.E. expressed its intention to continue seeking ways to increase contacts with engineering universities in Ukraine and to share best practices, promoting the development of bilateral cooperation and project initiatives.
