Participation in the meeting on the Recovery of Ukraine in the European Parliament within the framework of the Conference “HOW TO WIN THE WAR AND NOT LOSE THE PIECE” (06.06.2023, Brussel)

On 6 June 2023 the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine joined the meeting on the Recovery of Ukraine in the European Parliament within the framework of the Conference “HOW TO WIN THE WAR AND NOT LOSE THE PIECE” organised for representatives of the European Parliament, Ukrainian Delegation to EU, politicians, academic representatives and researchers, public organizations and others.

The event included panel on expert analysis on the topic from members of The Alphen Group, who presented ‘A comprehensive strategy to secure Ukraine’s Future’. Also, the following topics were discussed during the Conference:

  • “The road to Ukraine’s victory and the subsequent future of Euro-Atlantic security”, Alexander Vershbow, Former Deputy Secretary-General of NATO.
  • “A comprehensive strategy to secure Ukraine’s future”, Prof. Dr. Julian Lindley-French, Chairman of The Alphen Group, Project Director; Prof. Zaneta Ozolina, Professor at the University of Riga, member of The Alphen Group; Dr. Camille Grand, Distinguished fellow, European Council on Foreign Relations, member of the Alphen Group, former NATO assistant secretary general for Defence Investment Division; Ms. Orysia Lutsevych, Chatham House, head of the Ukraine Forum; Prof. Rob de Wijk, Founder, the Hague Centre for Strategic Studies, member of The Alphen Group.
  • ‘Ukraine’s future as a security provider for the Euro-Atlantic’, Ambassador Vsevolod Chentsov, Head of the Mission of Ukraine to the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community.

Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the NEO – Ukraine, joined the Conference and participated discussions regarding the recovery of Ukraine and the importance of cooperation within the EUs Erasmus+ Programme in the fields of education, youth and sports.
