Participation in the Training Workshop within the Erasmus+ CBHE“DigiUni” project at Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) and Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology (TIB) (online) (21-25.07.2024, online)
21–25 May 2024, the team of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine participated in the second training workshop, “Enhancing Digital Competence”, under the Erasmus+ CBHE DigiUni (Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative) project. The event took place at Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznań, Poland).
The workshop was inaugurated with a welcoming address by Professor Rafał Witkowski, Vice-Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University, who emphasized the importance of cooperation between universities in the context of the digital transformation of education.
During the first part of the training, significant attention was paid to studying the experience of the EPICUR consortium in creating a platform for digitalizing student mobility and hybrid learning. Participants discussed unique approaches that could be implemented in Ukraine to foster a shared digital educational space under the DigiUni initiative.
Sergiy BRONIN, Project Coordinator of DigiUni from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, highlighted: “It is crucial to learn to collaborate within Ukrainian universities to create a unified digital educational platform. The EPICUR consortium’s experience demonstrates how universities can work together to achieve synergy, thereby enhancing the credibility of alliances.”
Throughout the training, participants explored modern digital tools, including Microsoft Forms and Microsoft Teams, to create educational content and organize online meetings. One day of the workshop was specifically devoted to practical exercises in video content creation and the use of professional tools for recording educational materials.
According to Vitalii NOSOK, State Expert at the Directorate of Professional Higher and Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, “The DigiUni project is unique for Ukraine. The Ministry of Education and Science supports the development of a digital educational platform that will serve as a foundation for integrating Ukrainian universities into the digital space. Such training workshops are valuable as they allow the adoption of advanced practices and their adaptation to our needs.”
Participants also became familiar with the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project, which promotes the development of intercultural competencies and digital skills through virtual mobility and international collaboration among students from different countries.
The team of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine also participated in a hybrid leadership meeting of the project, where the project’s implementation status was discussed. This included a presentation of monitoring results, project coordination, management, and communication among all project partners.
