Introductory speech at the Virtual Study Visit of the Erasmus+ CBVET REBUILD project in the Virtual Study Visit of the Erasmus+ CBVET REBUILD project (11.04.2025, online)
On 11 April 2025, the team from the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine joined the Virtual Study Visit of the Erasmus+ REBUILD project, bringing together experts, educational institutions, and stakeholders from Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine to discuss sustainable reconstruction efforts in regions affected by war and natural disasters.
The event marked the first public activity within the framework of the EU-funded REBUILD project and gathered 35 participants online.
Participants discussed:
- the impact of catastrophic events and their implications for reconstruction;
- procedures and policies for reconstruction in the target countries;
- best practices and innovative solutions for building greener and more resilient communities.
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, actively contributed to the discussions. Speaker presented Ukraine’s approaches and experience in supporting sustainable regional development through education, vocational training, and international cooperation. During her speech, she underlined the crucial role of the Erasmus+ Programme in promoting green and digital transformation in education in Ukraine and stressed the importance of engaging partnership projects in reconstruction and modernisation processes.
The participants exchanged practical recommendations and experiences on rebuilding infrastructure, developing vocational education and training (VET), and promoting skills for the green and digital transition, in line with the objectives of the EU Green Deal and the EU Digital Decade.
The REBUILD project strengthens cooperation between the European Union and the Eastern Partnership countries, supporting reforms in the vocational education system and encouraging sustainable development through innovative educational solutions.
