Participation of HERE Team Experts in the Kick-off Meeting of the Bologna Hub Peer Support Plus (BHPS+) Project (11–12 March 2026, Bonn, Germany)
On 11–12 March 2026, the kick-off meeting of the European project Bologna Hub Peer Support Plus (BHPS+) took place at the University of Bonn (Germany). The project is implemented under Erasmus+ (Key Action 3: Policy Support) and coordinated by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
The event was attended by representatives of the National Higher Education Reform Experts (HERE team) — Iryna ZOLOTARYOVA and Yuriy RASHKEVYCH.
The BHPS+ project (2025–2028) builds on previous Bologna Hub Peer Support initiatives and aims to further develop peer support mechanisms among universities within the European Higher Education Area. The project focuses on addressing institutional and systemic challenges related to the key Bologna commitments, including the three-cycle system aligned with the QF-EHEA, recognition of qualifications in line with the Lisbon Recognition Convention, and quality assurance based on the ESG.
During the two-day meeting, participants discussed current challenges and future developments in European higher education, including micro-credentials, the European Degree initiative, the revision of the ECTS Users’ Guide, digitalisation, the impact of artificial intelligence, mobility and internationalisation.
Yuriy RASHKEVYCH contributed to the panel discussion “Bologna today: achievements, opportunities, perspectives – what drives the higher education landscape?”, where he presented the Ukrainian higher education context under wartime conditions, highlighting key challenges related to economic and demographic changes, as well as sharing experience in implementing micro-credentials in Ukrainian universities.
The participation of HERE team experts contributed to presenting the Ukrainian perspective at the European level and supported professional dialogue on the further development of Bologna Process tools.
Within the BHPS+ project, a new call is expected to be announced soon, offering higher education institutions an opportunity to receive advisory support from leading European experts.
