Seminar-Training for Erasmus+ 2025 call projects’ teams in higher education (CBHE and KA220): implementation specifics, synergies and cooperation with other projects and initiatives under martial law in Ukraine (15.10.2025, Kyiv)

On 15 October 2025, the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine organised Seminar-Training for Erasmus+ 2025 call projects’ teams in higher education (CBHE and KA220): implementation specifics, synergies and cooperation with other projects and initiatives under martial law in Ukraine.
The #ErasmusDays2025 events are organised by the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine jointly with and with the support of co-organisers (more details are available in the #ErasmusDays2025 concept description).

The event was held in a blended format: offline in Kyiv and online via the Zoom platform, bringing together around 110 participants — managers and teams of higher education institutions and other organisations from Ukraine, including coordinators and beneficiaries of cooperation and capacity-building projects in the field of higher education.

Participants were welcomed by Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, and Adrien OLSZAK-OLSZEWSKI, Policy Officer for Ukraine, DG EAC – The Directorate General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, European Commission, who emphasised the importance of the Erasmus+ Programme in supporting the reform and sustainable development of the higher education system in Ukraine under martial law.

The first thematic block of the seminar focused on the specific features of implementing cooperation and capacity-building projects in the field of higher education under martial law.
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA presented the key aspects of managing CBHE and KA220 projects, including partner roles within a project, communication with the project coordinator and the EACEA project officer, work within the project management system SYGMA, grant management and use of funds, as well as the preparation of interim and final reports in line with regulatory documents applicable during martial law.

Special attention was paid to quality assurance and sustainability of project results, their institutional impact and long-term value for the higher education system of Ukraine, as well as to the specifics of state registration of projects in the field of higher education in Ukraine.

The second thematic block was dedicated to the exchange of experience in implementing cooperation and capacity-building projects in the field of higher education under martial law. Representatives of Ukrainian higher education institutions presented achieved results and shared practical implementation cases. A separate part of the programme featured short presentations of the Erasmus+ 2025 winning projects, which enabled participants to establish inter-project cooperation and identify areas for further collaboration.

During the final session, discussions, a questions-and-answers session, summarising of results, and informal networking among participants took place.

The seminar-training contributed to enhancing the knowledge and practical skills of project teams in implementing Erasmus+ projects in the field of higher education, strengthening communication among participants, and fostering synergy and interaction between projects to achieve sustainable results under martial law in Ukraine.
