SUUN Training Course 2027: Internationalization and Higher Education Management

Saarland University (Germany) has opened the second Call for Applications for the SUUN Training Course (SUUN-TC) 2027, a professional development programme on internationalization and higher education management for university leaders from Ukraine.

The course is organised within the framework of the Saar-Ukraine University Network (SUUN): Overcoming Borders for a EUropean Future project, supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space.

The programme is open to Vice-Rectors, Deans, Vice-Deans, or holders of similar strategic academic leadership positions at Ukrainian universities accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The course consists of three online phases and one on-site phase in Saarbrücken. Participants will develop a Strategic Action Plan tailored to their institution, strengthen leadership, communication and intercultural management skills, and gain insights into university internationalization and governance practices aligned with the European Higher Education Area.

Participation is free of charge for selected participants. In addition, a DAAD scholarship will provide financial support for participation in the on-site training module in Saarbrücken.

Application deadline: 10 October 2026.

An online Information Day will take place on 21 September 2026 at 11:00 (Berlin time) / 12:00 (Kyiv time). The organisers will introduce the SUUN-TC 2027 programme, explain the application procedure and participation requirements, and answer questions from prospective applicants.

Attendance at the Information Day is optional but highly recommended.
