TAM Follow Up event – Seminar-discussion INTERNATIONALISATION AS A DRIVER OF RESEARCH-BASED HIGHER EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT: ROADMAP (14.10.2025, online)
On October 14, 2025, within the framework of the Ukrainian #ErasmusDays2025, a seminar-discussion “Internationalization as a driver of the research-based higher education development: roadmap” was held by the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine together with HERE team and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine as a Follow Up event of the TAM event – Roundtable “Internationalisation as a Driver of the Research-Based Education” (23 September 2025, hybrid).
The TAM Follow Up event began with welcome speech by Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, NEO – Ukraine Coordinator and opening remarks by Maryna MRUGA, Head of the Expert Group on Integration into the EHEA and Education Quality Assurance, Directorate of Higher and Adult Education, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Member of the European BFUG, HERE concerning higher education and research internationalisation in the context of the EU accession negotiation process and Ukraine status in the Erasmus+ Programme.
Volodymyr LUGOVYY, First Vice-President, National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, HERE, continued the discussion with the presentation “Higher Education & Research Internationalisation for University and Research Institution development in the context of EHEA values”. Irina SIKORSKAYA, Director of the International Education Center, Mariupol State University; Director of the NGO “Ukrainian Association of Academics and Researchers of European Integration” (Jean Monnet Action), HERE focused on challenges of Internationalisation under martial law.
Issues of evaluating activities of HEIs, research institutions on the internationalization of higher education and research were discussed by Volodymyr BAKHRUSHYN, Professor of the National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic”, Member of the Scientific and Methodical Council (responsible for Higher Education Standards Development), MESU of Ukraine, HERE, Mychailo WYNNYCKYJ, Associate Professor of the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” (Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine (2023-2025), Head of the NAQA Secretariat (2019-2022), HERE and Yuriy RASHKEVYCH, Professor of the Lviv Polytechnic National University, Member of the National Qualifications Agency (Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine (2017-2019), HERE team Chair.
Yuriy RASHKEVYCH and Zhanna TALANOVA, NEO – Ukraine presented outcomes of the discussion and key steps on implementation internationalisation as a Driver of Research-Based Higher Education in Ukraine.
About 40 participants took part in TAM Follow Up Event.
