Training “Teacher Education: Trends, Challenges, Opportunities. Tools of the EU Erasmus+ Programme for VET institutions, that offer teacher education” (20.09.2024, Kyiv)

On 20 September 2024, a training session “Teacher Education: Trends, Challenges, Opportunities. Tools of the EU Erasmus+ Programme for VET Institutions that Offer Teacher Education” took place. The event was organised by the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine and the National eTwinning Support Office – Ukraine in collaboration with the NGO Osvitoria, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Thematic areas of the event:

  • Teacher Education: Modern trends, challenges, and opportunities for pedagogical colleges in Ukraine.
  • EU Erasmus+ Programme and eTwinning: Opportunities for educational institutions preparing teachers.
  • EU Erasmus+ Programme opportunities for pedagogical colleges: mobility, capacity-building, alliances for innovation, centres of excellence, and collaborative projects.

Thirty-five representatives of vocational education and training (VET) institutions from across Ukraine participated in the training – from Kyiv, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.

Participants gained insights into trends in teacher education development, opportunities for enhancing the potential of VET institutions through national and international projects, and received practical recommendations on the step-by-step process of participation in the Erasmus+ Programme, focusing primarily on eTwinning.
