Visit mission of the Head of the National Erasmus+ Agency in Portugal to Ukraine (19-21.06.2023, Kyiv-Zhytomyr-Lviv)
During June 19-21, 2023, as part of the mission to Ukraine, Luiz ALVÉS, Head of the National Erasmus+ Agency in Portugal for youth and sports, with the support of the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine held a number of meetings and round tables with the aim of personally meeting representatives of the Ministry of Youth and of Sports of Ukraine, to discuss key strategic steps within the framework of the new calls for the capacity building of youth and sports for 2024, as well as to communicate with potential participating organizations, their needs and challenges during the war.
On 19 June 2023, National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine organised an official meeting with Andrii CHESNOKOV, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports for European Integration and Luis ALVEIS, Head of the National Erasmus+ Agency in Portugal for Youth and Sports, as well as round table for 12 youth organisations discussing challenges and ideas for joined projects aimed at overcoming the consequences of martial law in the field of youth and sports. During the round table speakers presented Erasmus+ opportunities and actions open for Ukraine under the EUs Erasmus+ Programme. Participants discussed the importance of cooperation between youth organisations, local authorities and the Ministry to ensure the support and development of the youth and sports sector. During the presentations, speakers and participants stressed different ideas and suggestions to organise joint projects aimed at supporting young people all over Ukraine and Ukrainians in Europe. The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine continues to maintain cooperation with partners from Europe and actively promote the implementation of projects aimed at developing the youth sector and sports in Ukraine.
On June 19, 2023, National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine organised meeting with Head of the National Erasmus+ Agency in Portugal and the Kyiv Oblast Administration on Erasmus+ opportunities for youth and sport on call 2024. Nine representatives Kyiv Oblast Administration took part in the event representing leadership and structural units of the regional administration.
On June 20, 2023, National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine organised meeting with Head of the National Erasmus+ Agency in Portugal and the Zhytomyr City Administration on Erasmus+ opportunities for youth and sport on call 2024. Eight representatives of Zhytomyr City Administration took part in the event representing leadership and structural units of the regional administration.
On June 20, 2023, National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine together with National Erasmus+ Agency in Portugal and the Zhytomyr City Administration on Erasmus+ organised Round table “Key challenges, stakeholders and beneficiaries working in youth sector in Ukraine and ideas for cooperation projects under EUs Erasmus+ Programme”. Around 55 representatives of youth and sport orgaisations, HEIs and other local authorities.
On June 21, 2023, National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine organised meeting with Head of the National Erasmus+ Agency in Portugal and Ukrainian Catholic University on Erasmus+ opportunities for youth and sport on call 2024. 8 representatives of Ukrainian Catholic University took part in the event representing leadership and staff of the University.
On June 21, 2023, National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine organised meeting with Head of the National Erasmus+ Agency in Portugal and NGO “SpivDiia” on Erasmus+ opportunities for youth and sport on call 2024. 5 representatives of NGO “Youth. Science. Sports. Healthy movement of Ukraine” took part in the event.
On June 21, 2023, National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine organised meeting with Head of the National Erasmus+ Agency in Portugal and the Lviv City Administration on Erasmus+ opportunities for youth and sport on call 2024. Eight representatives of Lviv City Administration took part in the event representing leadership and structural units of the regional administration.
On June 21, 2023, National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine organised meeting with Head of the National Erasmus+ Agency in Portugal and NGO “Youth. Science. Sports. Healthy movement of Ukraine” on Erasmus+ opportunities for youth and sport on call 2024. 7 representatives of NGO “Youth. Science. Sports. Healthy movement of Ukraine” took part in the event.
During all these events managers of the National Office in Ukraine Veronika TKACHENKO and Kateryna ZHDANOVA, Head of the National Agency in Portugal, Luis ALVEIS, and the assistant of the National Agency in Portugal, Nuno SANOS provided details about Erasmus+ Programme for 2021-2027, key actions and priorities and highlighted news calls on capacity building in youth and sporst fields. Participants also discussed current issues and challenges to be covered via joint projects bentween Ukrainian and Portugese potential partners. At the end of all meetings, all participants agreed on active cooperation in the future and participation in youth and sports calls 2024.
