XIII International Business Forum “SCIENCE-BUSINESS-EDUCATION: Strategic Partnership” (November 19, 2025)
On November 19, 2025, within the framework of the 13th International Business Forum “Science-Business-Education: Strategic Partnership”, the Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University (KNEU) brought together over 700 representatives of academia, business, the public sector and state institutions.
During the Plenary Panel “The Third Mission of the University: Partnership for Society”, the National Higher Education Reform Expert Svitlana KALASHNIKOVA, Advisor to the Directorate of the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, spoke about the role of higher education institutions in the development of society and community, the popularization of knowledge, and the support of cultural and social initiatives. The Panel participants joined the discussion and also learned about the experience of implementing the third mission and public service at the Ukrainian Catholic University.
Deputy Coordinator – Senior Manager for Analytics of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, Zhanna TALANOVA, Deputy Coordinator of the Higher Education Sector of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, together with experts – participants of the Panel discussion “Harmonization of Higher Education Standards with the Third Mission of Universities” discussed ways to harmonize higher education standards with modern approaches to innovative activities, social responsibility and interaction with communities. The focus was on the search for the formulation of learning outcomes and competencies relevant to the third mission of Universities. The discussion demonstrated the readiness of Ukrainian Universities to transition to a model based on sustainable development and technology transfer.
The Panel discussion “European Digital Innovation Hubs: Opportunities for Business and Education” brought together innovation leaders to discuss new partnership models for the development of Ukraine and the role of European innovation hubs in supporting the digital transformation of business. Participants discussed areas of cooperation between business, Universities and digital hubs in the development of innovative education and the integration of Ukrainian companies into the European network of digital innovation hubs.
How a generation of students is shaping a new labor market culture in the agricultural sector and how the crisis in the labor market is contributing to the development of new production technologies are the central questions of the Panel discussion “Labor Market in the Agricultural Sector: Trends and Prospects”. Participants also discussed the impact of war and population migration on the labor market, changes in youth priorities when searching for work, and strategies for companies to attract specialists.
The discussion Panel “Digital Money and Tokenized Assets: Challenges and Opportunities” became an intellectual platform for discussing the drivers of demand for digital money and tokenized assets, trends in tokenization of real assets, and prospects for the spread of digital currency. An important focus was the discussion on the role of Universities and educational-business partnerships in developing the Web3-ecosystem and increasing public trust in digital money.
During the Panel discussion “Compliance in the State and Business Security System” participants discussed the importance of compliance for Ukraine’s post-war recovery, its use in the internal audit system of enterprises and in the administration of taxes and payments. Participants emphasized the importance of digitalizing compliance processes, standardizing reporting, and using innovative technologies, including AI-based tools.
