Advanced training courses for officials of Ukrainian state authorities «European approaches to taxation and tax culture of EU countries» (24.06-01.07.2025, online)
From 24.06 to 01.07.2025, within the framework of the EU Programme project Erasmus+: Jean Monnet, № 101125984 – TIEU – ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH, advanced training courses for officials of public authorities and management under the programme «European approaches to taxation and tax culture of EU countries» were held.
The event was held at the Institute of Advanced Training and Postgraduate Education of the State Tax University (online). Course lecturers: Iryna Prokopenko and Olha Ivanyshyna introduced the students to the peculiarities of the common tax policy in the EU; current trends in direct and indirect taxation in the EU; and the high level of tax culture in the EU member states. They focused on the ways and means of establishing mutually beneficial partnerships between tax authorities and taxpayers.
The course was attended by 669 officials from the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the State Tax Service of Ukraine, the Customs Service of Ukraine and the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine. The students showed great interest in the course materials and actively participated in the discussion of topical issues related to the implementation of taxation approaches in Ukraine and best practices for building an appropriate level of tax culture in the EU. The discussion of the forms and methods of democratising relations between taxpayers and public authorities and achieving a balance between the interests of the state and taxpayers was particularly emotionally charged.
At the end of the training, 669 participants successfully passed the final tests to check their knowledge of the material and received certificates of advanced training.
