International Scientific Conference “Service-Learning for Ukraine’s Recovery: Education, Citizenship and Community Resilience” (9.06.2026, Lviv / online)
On 9 June 2026, the International Scientific Conference “Service-Learning for Ukraine’s Recovery: Education, Citizenship and Community Resilience” will take place in Lviv and online. The event is organised by the Ukrainian Catholic University within the Erasmus+ CBHE project “Service-learning in Higher Education for Ukraine’s Recovery” (ServU). The target audience includes researchers, academics, higher education institutions, practitioners, public authorities, community partners, and international experts.
The conference will present the key academic and practical outcomes of the ServU project and provide a platform for dialogue on the role of service-learning in Ukraine’s recovery. The focus will include strengthening civic engagement, fostering university–community cooperation, ensuring institutional sustainability of educational practices, and enhancing EU–Ukraine collaboration. The thematic areas cover service-learning for recovery, university–community partnerships in times of crisis, institutionalisation and inclusive models, and international cooperation for education and community rebuilding.
