International webinar within the Erasmus+ DP5YOU project in Moldova – a new step in supporting youth work with migrant and refugee children (05.06.2025, Republic of Moldova)
“Digital Platform for Knowledge and Skills Development for Youth Working with Migrant and Refugee Children at the European Level” (DP5YOU), co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Youth program.
The National Agency for Program Development and Youth Work (Republic of Moldova) organized the event, and its representative, Vadim Sminina, acted as speaker and moderator. He opened the meeting, presented the main stages of the project, and created an active environment for cooperation between participants.
The event aimed to familiarize Moldovan youth organizations with the project’s objectives, which is aimed at supporting and training young people who will work with vulnerable groups of children from Ukraine.
The project coordinator, Yaroslav Galan, head of the public organization “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE,” welcomed the participants, presented the DP5YOU digital platform, shared information about its content, showed a motivational video, and answered questions from participants.
The organization’s administrative assistant, Liliana Hutsulyak, emphasized the importance of improving the professional level of youth workers and familiarized them with the project’s key objectives.
Among the main speakers were the project partners:
- From Portugal – Joana Galvao from ASSOCIACAO CHECK-IN, spoke about the organization’s experience in creating a favorable environment for working with young people;
- Vitalie Cirhana and Ion Donea, representatives of INSTITUTUL DE INSTRUIRE IN DEZVOLTARE MILLENIUM (Republic of Moldova), spoke about the organization’s activities and shared their vision of engaging young people through educational initiatives.
During the event, an expert survey was conducted, lively discussions with participants took place, and practical ideas for improving the implementation of the project at the national and international levels were gathered.
About 50 representatives of youth organizations from different parts of Moldova took part in the webinar.
The webinar served as a powerful platform for professional development, experience exchange, and partnership expansion in working with displaced children and refugees in Ukraine and the European Union.
