Presentation of the digital platform within the BASKETBALL-KTN project in the Mamayivska community Erasmus+ Sport / Basketball-KTN project (13.10.2025, Chernivtsi region)
On October 13, a sports and educational event was held for young basketball players from the Mamayivska community – a presentation of the BASKETBALL-KTN digital platform, created as part of the ERASMUS+ SPORT project “Creating a hybrid model of a knowledge transfer network to attract and develop basketball,” co- funded by the European Union.
The initiative aims to promote basketball, increase physical activity, and encourage active leisure among schoolchildren through the use of innovative educational and training tools.
The project partner in Ukraine is the public organization “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE”.
The head of the organization, candidate of sciences in physical education and sports, associate professor Yaroslav Galan, addressed the participants of the event, emphasizing the importance of introducing digital technologies into the training process of young basketball players, which contributes to increasing the effectiveness of training and developing motivation to play sports.
The event was held at the Mamayivska Children’s and Youth Sports School and brought together young athletes, coaches, teachers, and local government officials, united by a common idea of developing basketball and promoting a healthy lifestyle among children and young people.
The presentation was attended by students of the Mamayivska Children and Youth Sports School and their mentors, Larysa Balatska and Petro Bulyk; representatives of the community and the educational and sports community, Roman Dorosh, head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Mamayivska Territorial Community; Svitlana Onyshchuk, director of the Mamayivska Secondary School I-III; Professor Anna Hakman, head of the Department of Sports and Fitness of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports, and Rehabilitation of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University; Arkady Tomashevsky, representative of the Children’s and Youth Sports School, head of the Children’s and Youth Sports School trade union.
The warm-up for the participants was conducted by students of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports, and Rehabilitation, Yegor Belov and Maxim Shapovalov, players of the Ukrainian Basketball Championship Premier League team, who demonstrated a high level of skill and professionalism.
This was followed by basketball-themed relay races, during which the children competed in agility, speed, and teamwork. All the young athletes received commemorative awards and many positive emotions that will remain in their memories for a long time.
