Europe Talks Solidarity Webinars (30.11-14.12.2023, online)
To spark meaningful conversations related to one of the largest democratic elections in the world, SALTO European Solidarity Corps and SALTO Participation & Information are jointly organising a series of participatory webinars that will explore links between voting, active participation of young people in democratic life, volunteering and digital realities.
The series will start with a panel discussion on “Strengthening Democracy in the EU: What Role Can EU Programmes Play?”, on 30 November at 15:00 CET, which will bring together the European Commission, the Europeers network and Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps beneficiaries.
The second webinar will seek to answer the question “How Does Democracy Connect With Network Science, AI and Augmented Realities?” with input from experts and researchers on the topics, as well as young people, on 7 December at 11:00 CET.
For the final webinar, on 14 December at 15:00 CET, we will be joined by a Member of the European Parliament, the Youth Outreach Unit of the European Parliament, a political scientist researching voting behaviour in connection with volunteering, and a youth umbrella organisation to explore the topic “Supporting Youth Participation and Volunteering: Can It Impact the European Elections 2024?”.
The webinars are designed for young people, formal and non-formal education practitioners (youth workers, teachers, trainers, project promoters), researchers, experts, policymakers, and the wider society, to share, reflect, and learn from each other on these topics. They will last 90 minutes and include guest speakers and audience engagement.
You can pre-register for one or all the webinars using the link.
Further details on the structure of the webinars and details of the speakers will be shared soon.
