Participation in a Round Rable on the standards and quality of pedagogical education at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University (23.08.2023, Kyiv)

On August 23, 2023, a round table “Development of study programs for teacher training based on the teacher’s professional standard and in response to the challenges of war” was held at the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University. Volodymyr BAKHRUSHYN, Head of the National Teams of Higher Education Reform Experts (HERE team), Professor of the Department of System Analysis and Calculative Mathematics, Chair of the Academic Council, National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic”; Member of the Scientific and Methodical Council; and Zhanna TALANOVA, Analytical Manager of NEO – Ukraine, joined the round table.

During the event, participants of the event fruitfully discussed the project of the standard presented by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Special attention was paid to the issue of taking into account the current professional standard, as well as the development of the necessary competences in response to the challenges of war and new realities. The representatives of the faculties expressed constructive proposals regarding the further development of study programs for teachers trainings based on modern needs. For example, the need to strengthen the teacher’s digital, emotional, ethical and psychological competencies was repeatedly emphasized.
