Participation in the Workshop on supporting Ukrainian maritime students to complete their studies (30.03.2023, online)

On March 30, 2023, the Lithuanian Maritime Academy held a workshop on supporting Ukrainian maritime students to complete their studies due to the war against Ukraine. The purpose of the workshop was to discuss and coordinate actions to support maritime students from Ukraine for their successful continuation of education and it from various EU member states of the Baltic Sea and their maritime educational institutions.

Representatives of the following Ukrainian organisations joined the event: National University “Odesa Maritime Academy”, Kherson State Maritime Academy; Lithuanian Maritime Academy (Lithuania); National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine; Ukrainian students and other European maritime educational institutions.

Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of NEO – Ukraine, joined the event and presented  current state of Ukrainian education during the war, challenges and ways to overcome them through the joint implementation of Erasmus+ projects that will meet the needs and national priorities.

Based on the results of the event, it was decided to make proposals for Erasmus+ joint projects for the next calls in 2024.
