14 new projects to build capacities for 65 organisations in Ukraine under EU’s Erasmus+ Programme
Fourteen projects involving 65 organisations from Ukraine have been recommended for funding under the European Union Erasmus+ Programme for Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education Action (CBHE). This year, the 151 projects proposed for funding include the participation as partners or coordinators of over 1,500 higher education stakeholders from almost 120 countries. Ukraine is in top 3 leaders by the number of partners involved into the projects.
Those new 14 projects focus on European approach of compliance management and sustainable development in higher education, circular economy, digital transformations, robotics, security, modernization of medical education, agriculture, water sector, forestry and post-war green rebuilding, teaching training and other.
According to the level of the impact and experience of partners, the projects are differentiated by three stands: 1) Fostering access to cooperation (five projects), 2) Partnerships for Transformation (eight projects); 3) Structural reforms (one project).
There are seven national projects, six regional and 1 cross-regional project among funded. 143 partners from 22 countries are among the project teams representing Austria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, Moldova, Mongolia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden.
65 partners from Ukraine represent 47 higher education institutions, 2 preschool institutions, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance and 5 NGOs.
Four Ukrainian universities act as project grantholders-coordinators: Kremenets Taras Shevchenko Regional Academy of Humanities and Pedagogy, Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, Polissia National University, Ukrainian National Forestry University.
47 HEIs from Ukraine are representing polytechnics, medical, pedagogical, economic, agrarian, architecture, internal affairs from different cities of Ukraine. The partnerships include 4 relocated universities from the temporary occupied territories. Ten Universities are in 2 projects partnerships: H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, Izmail State University of Humanities, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, National University of Water and Environmental Engineering, Pavlo Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University, Podillia State University, Polissia National University, Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University, V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
From 2015-2024 Erasmus+ calls 95 CBHE projects funded by EU for Ukraine to contribute to the higher education reforms in Ukraine, Eurointegration processes and building new Ukraine based on the innovations and best practices of the partners from the EU Member States Universities.
