Webinar together with eTwinning in Ukraine “EU Erasmus+ Program for the Development of Pedagogical, School and Preschool Education on the Path to European Integration” within the framework of the Europe Day in Ukraine (09.05.2024, online)

On May 9, 2024, as part of the Europe Day in Ukraine, the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine and the National eTwinning Support Office – Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, with the support of representatives of EU project teams, held a webinar “EU Erasmus+ Program and eTwinning opportunities for the development of pedagogical, school and preschool education on the path to European integration”.

More than 95 representativesof pedagogical, school and preschool education, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and organizers joined the webinar.

Oleksandra HUSAK, Director General of the Directorate for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and Ihor BALUBA, Head of the Expert Group on Professional Higher Education, Directorate of Professional Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine welcomed participants.

In the first session of the event, Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, presented the EUs Erasmus+ Programme, key actions, priorities, and calls. The speaker also spoke about synergy opportunities with existing Erasmus+ projects and European partners to build capacity at the individual and institutional levels for representatives of pedagogical, school and preschool education in Ukraine on the path to European integration.

In the continuation of the session on Erasmus+ opportunities, Zhanna Talanova, Analytical Manager of the NEO – Ukraine, presented calls in the fields of education and youth. The speaker presented the opportunities for youth exchanges, academic (credit) mobility in higher education, innovative cooperation partnerships, capacity building in higher and vocational and professional higher education, youth capacity building and the Jean Monnet cation. At the end of the presentation, the speaker spoke about the main steps in preparing for participation in the Erasmus+ Program for preschool, school and teacher education and gave examples of projects.

Svitlana KALASHNIKOVA, Coordinator of the National eTwinning Support Office – Ukraine, HERE team, presented the opportunities of the eTwinning Program for pedagogical, school and preschool education. The speaker spoke about the eTwinning platform and opportunities for cooperation, quality labels in the fields of pedagogical, school and preschool education, and areas of cooperation with higher and vocational and professional higher education. She also presented the launch of the newly created website of the National eTwinning Support Office – Ukraine.

In the next session, participants had the opportunity to learn about the results and impact of Erasmus+ capacity building projects, cooperation partnerships, and Jean Monnet, as well as eTwinning projects in the fields of teacher education, school education, and preschool education in Ukraine.

At the end of the event, the speakers discussed topical issues of active participation and cooperation in Erasmus+ and eTwinning projects, as well as opportunities for synergy between projects in different areas.
