Seminar – Infosession “Development of International Cooperation: Erasmus+ Programme Opportunities for Ukrainian Research Institutions and Education Institutions” (23.01.2025, Kyiv, hybrid format)

On 23 January 2025, the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, in cooperation with the Presidium of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine (NAES of Ukraine), conducted the seminar – infosession “Development of International Cooperation: Erasmus+ Programme Opportunities for Ukrainian Research Institutions and Education Institutions” in a hybrid format. The event was held under the Memorandum of Cooperation with the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. The event gathered 50 representatives of NAES research institutions engaged in preschool, school, VET and higher education at the conference hall of the Presidium of NAES of Ukraine, while 100 participants joined online via Google Meet.

Agenda

The seminar aimed to present the opportunities of the EU Erasmus+ Programme for developing international cooperation in education in the context of European integration and to provide recommendations for involving preschool, school, VET and higher education institutions in international projects.

The opening remarks were delivered by Volodymyr LUGOVYY, First Vice-President of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor Hab. in Educational Sciences, Professor, Higher Education Reform Expert (HERE), and Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, PhD in Educational Sciences.

Participants learned about the Erasmus+ opportunities for developing international cooperation in education and research in the context of European integration, presented by Zhanna TALANOVA, Deputy Coordinator – Senior Manager on Analytics of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, Doctor Hab. in Educational Sciences, Professor, and researcher of the Institute of Higher Education, NAES of Ukraine.

Erasmus+ opportunities for VET were highlighted by Veronika TKACHENKO, Manager of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, PhD in Educational Sciences, and researcher of the Institute of Higher Education, NAES of Ukraine.

The experts also outlined the role of research institutions and higher education institutions in engaging preschool, school, VET and higher education institutions into international projects. They emphasised the significance of international cooperation in the context of European integration and the impact of Erasmus+ projects on research and the results of state assessment of research institutions and higher education institutions.

During and after the seminar participants had the opportunity to ask questions and receive expert answers, comments, and consultations.

The event concluded with a summary of the prospects for leveraging Erasmus+ opportunities in the activities of research institutions and the University of Educational Management of the NAES of Ukraine, as well as planning further actions within the framework of international cooperation.
