Europe Day in Ukraine (09.05.2025)

Europe Day is celebrated on 9 May in Ukraine, the European Union, and other countries to mark peace and unity on the European continent. This year, the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine team conducted a series of events and encouraged “Erasmus people” — representing educational institutions, youth and other organisations, as well as everyone who has benefited from the Erasmus experience — to join the Europe Day celebrations and share their unique success stories.

As part of this year’s initiative, numerous events were held across Ukraine, organised by schools, higher education institutions, vocational education and training (VET) providers, research institutions, and non-governmental organisations (including youth NGOs). Other active participants included state and private organisations, student associations, the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), Erasmus Mundus alumni (EMA), students, PhD candidates, lecturers, youth workers, and various other stakeholders.

In the framework of Europe Day 2025, the NEO in Ukraine team participated in the following:

Additionally, NEO in Ukraine, in collaboration with ESN Ukraine, produced a video greeting highlighting the support provided to Ukrainian youth by the European Union and the international youth community, particularly the Erasmus Student Network, which connects students across Europe and the world. ESN members expressed their solidarity with Ukraine, reminded viewers of the ongoing opportunities within the EU Erasmus+ Programme and the support available to Ukrainian youth during martial law, and emphasised the importance of maintaining connections, mobility, and shared European values.
