Participation in the International Seminar “Quality Without Borders: Internationalisation and Cross-Border Quality Assurance in Higher Education” (21.08.2026, online)
On 21 July 2026, the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine team participated in the International Seminar “Quality Without Borders: Internationalisation and Cross-Border Quality Assurance in Higher Education”, organised by the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance. The event was held at Uzhhorod National University in a hybrid format and focused on international cooperation, internationalisation and quality assurance in higher education.
The seminar included the session “From International Cooperation to Institutional Change: How Internationalisation Shapes the Quality of Higher Education”, which focused on the relationship between international activities and the quality of higher education, the role of international projects and partnerships in the development of higher education institutions, and the opportunities offered by the EU Erasmus+ Programme to support institutional change.
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, and Zhanna TALANOVA, Deputy Coordinator and Analytical Manager, Coordinator of the Higher Education Reform Experts (HERE team), delivered a joint presentation entitled “From International Cooperation to Institutional Change: How Internationalisation Shapes the Quality of Higher Education” (in Ukrainian).
The presentation covered the opportunities offered by the EU Erasmus+ Programme in education, vocational training, youth and sport, including projects, mobility, partnerships and capacity building. Particular attention was paid to the role of Erasmus+ in the internationalisation and transformation of higher education institutions, as well as to the links between international activities and the quality assurance of educational programmes, state attestation of research institutions and the allocation of public funding.
Participants were also presented with examples of Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects aimed, in particular, at developing quality assurance systems, digitalisation, modernising educational programmes and supporting institutional change in Ukrainian higher education.
The participation of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine in the seminar contributed to the exchange of experience on the role of international cooperation and internationalisation in ensuring and improving the quality of higher education in the context of Ukraine’s European integration.
