Coordination and work meeting of EU funded Tempus IV LeAGUe project (16-17.04.16)
16-17 of May 2016 the National Technical University “KPI” and Taras Shevchenko National University in Kiev (Ukraine) hosted the coordination and work meeting of the consortium involved in the project „A network for developing lifelong learning in Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine (LeAGUe)” (543839-TEMPUS- 1-2013- 1-SE- TEMPUS-SMHES). This year meeting was attended by more then 50 representatives from Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Sweden, Portugal, Denmark and the UK.
There were two special themes to the meeting – the pilot LLL courses (Status report on courses and their evaluation) and country’s policy content and strategy development for LLL.University delegates reviewed the current status of the LLL courses, LLL Teacher Networks, and sharing information via LLL Seminars and Conferences.
In highly interactive sessions suggestions on how the LLL country’s policy, content and strategy should be implemented were agreed. All representatives will present their proposals to the appropriative Ministries of Education and Science prior to the next 2017-year.
The results of that project will effect the Ukraine Lifelong learning paradigm shift away from the ideas of teaching and training towards those of learning, from knowledge-conveying instruction to learning for personal development and from the acquisition of special skills to broader discovery and the releasing and harnessing of creative potential.
This project is funded by the European Union with an active participation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Armenia and Georgia.
