Conference “Reforming European Higher Education – From Policy to Practice” (8-9.06.2018, Kyiv)

22 daad22 erasmOn 8-9 June 2018 Kyiv Federal Ministry of Education and Science in Germany with the help of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Kyiv in co-operation with the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine and with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine hosted Conference “Reforming European Higher Education – From Policy to Practice”, and the networking meeting on cooperation with HEIs from Germany, other EU countries (Lithuania, Turkey, Belarus, the Netherlands, Sweden, Latvia, Serbia, Belgium, Georgia, the United Kingdom, Poland) and Ukraine.

During the Conference on June 8, NEO-Ukraine representatives Svitlana SHYTIKOVA and Ivanna ATAMANCHUK presented the current state, prospects and challenges of implementation of the Bologna Process in Ukraine for more than 100 participants.

On June 9, 2018, the NEO-Ukraine team and the DAAD Information Center in Kyiv with the support of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv provided 2 parallel events: Networking meeting on cooperation with HEIs in Germany and other EU countries; and the seminar “International Credit Mobility Erasmus+: Building Cooperation between Ukraine and Germany”.

Within the NEO-team group work, participants improved awareness of the educational process and cooperation within the Erasmus+ Program with the German universities; built new links for further cooperation within Call 2019; improved their capacity in the ICM project preparation and implementation.

During the workshop more than 100 participants got practical skills in developing partnerships and filling in application forms and other documents; various aspects of project implementation in accordance with the rules of the Program and legislation of Ukraine.

Useful materials about the Erasmus+ and promo materials were disseminated. Improved awareness of Erasmus+ for potential applicants and higher education stakeholders in general. Improved knowledge of the Erasmus+ for beneficiaries (organisations and individuals). Increased cooperation, synergies and exchanges of good practices between Erasmus+ projects.
