Guidelines for development of a new generation of higher education standards are approved
On March 27, 2025, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine approved the Guidelines for Higher Education Standards Development (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science No. 512), developed in accordance with the Law of Ukraine On Higher Education and aimed at improving higher education standards, quality assurance and expanding the academic autonomy of higher education institutions.
The Guidelines were developed by the Higher Education Sector of the Scientific and Methodological Council, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, whose work was directed by the Sector Coordinator – Professor Volodymyr BAKHRUSHYN, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor of the National University “Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic”, Erasmus+ Higher Education Reform Expert, and Deputy Coordinator – Professor Zhanneta TALANOVA, Doctor of Educational Sciences, Deputy Coordinator – Senior Project Manager of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine.
The National team of the Higher Education Reform Experts (HERE team) actively participated in the development of the Guidelines and the examination of the prepared draft: Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mychailo WYNNYCKYJ, PhD in Economic Sociology, Associate Professor, Members of the Higher Education Sector of the Scientific and Methodological Council, the Ministry – Oleg SHAROV, PhD in Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor, Director General of the Directorate of Higher and Adult Education, the Ministry and Maryna MRUGA, PhD in Educational Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Expert Group on Integration into the EHEA and Education Quality Assurance of the Directorate of Higher and Adult Education, the Ministry, Member of the European BFUG, as well as Professor Yuriy RASHKEVYCH, Head of the National HERE team, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Lviv Polytechnic National University, Member of the National Qualifications Agency (Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, 2017-2019).
